"Estonia" (Unit 11)

  1. Estonia is washed by the Gulf of Finland in the north and the Baltic Sea in the west.
  2. The second biggest town is Tartu, which lies on the River Emajõgi.
  3. The largest islands are off the western coast.
  4. The lowland areas are in West Estonia.
  5. The biggest rivers are the River Emajõgi, which flows into Lake Peipsi and the River Pärnu, which flows into the Gulf of Riga.
  6. The highest peak is Munamägi, which lies in South Estonia.
  7. The biggest lake is Lake Peipsi, which separates Estonia from Russia.
  8. The capital of Estonia is Tallinn, which lies on the northern coast.
