Kontrolltöösse tulevad seekord lihtlaused ja käsud/palved.

LIHTLAUSED

Lihtlausete põhimõte - keegi väidab või teatab midagi, ning sina seletad, mida too inimene siis räägib ka.

N1: John says, "I love apples."

Reported speech:
John says that he loves apples.

N2: Children say, "We went to Scotland this summer."

Reported speech:
Children say that they went to Scotland this summer.

N3: Jim says, "I don't like disco. I prefer death metal."

Reported speech:
Jim says that he doesn't like disco. He adds that he prefers death metal.

Keegi üks inimene käsib (tells) või palub (asks) kellelgi teisel inimesel to teha midagi.
[Nii käskijad kui ka käsu saajad võivad ka mitmuses olla muidugi.]

NB! Kui see, keda kästakse või palutakse, ei ole mainitud otseselt nimepidi, vaid on öeldud boys või girls või children vmt, siis tuleb sinna ette veel the panna.

N5: The PE teacher says, "Throw me the ball, boys!"

Reported speech:
The PE teacher tells the boys to throw him/her the ball.

Teine portsjon ebareeglipäraste tegusõnade põhivorme, millede hulgast töösse valin (võtan ka esimese portsjoni hulgast, ning esmaspäeval annan veel natuke neid juurde - sest tegelikult selleks passiivi tööks peamine, mida õppida, ongi need põhivormid, muu on selline loogikaküsimus ju lihtsalt).

Writing a Letter 2

Your English pen-friend has asked you to write a letter about your school life.
Write to him/her (120-150 words)

• saying what you think about your school and class;
• about an interesting school event that you remember;
• about your future plans after finishing the 9th form.

Write at least FOUR sentences about each aspect.

Do NOT write any addresses.

PS! Do not forget all the necessary details such as the date, an opening phrase, some opening sentences, a closing sentence, an appropriate closing phrase, etc.
